What happens when you're born to a greedy low ranking noble family & have uncanny resemblance to a real princess? Well for Valindra Winterflower, that is reality. Traded for Gil & a few ranks up, Valindra was exchanged and chosen to be raised alongside the princess of Shisui. Her life as a decoy has left her trained in etiquette, court politics and the art of deception. Her only purpose, as reminded by her guardians. Valindra was praised for her role, but often reminded of the consequences if failure became an option.Valindra watched from her golden cage, losing hope that she would ever get to choose a life for herself. She would have remained complacent if it wasn't for falling in love to a man she could never have. With a broken heart and resolve, she managed to escape the place she called home never looking back.Now Valindra navigates life with the ability to choose. This has led to an identity crisis. Who is Valindra Winterflower without the mask she had adorn for so long? Without her part to play, the au'ra fears she will become forgettable & unremarkable. She strives to be charming, helpful, and interesting to everyone she meets, often bending over backward to avoid rejection or disapproval. Deep down, she believes if she isn't adored or useful, she might vanish into the same obscurity she was born from.

Valindra is a woman of quiet intensity, shaped by a life spent pretending to be someone else. Beneath her composed and graceful demeanor, lies a deep, gnawing fear: that without the mask she has so perfectly crafted and without the intrigue of court life, she is… forgettable. This fear drives her to be constantly “on.” She plays the role of charming, clever, accommodating, poise, and proper. An effortless performer long after the chapters of her past have been closed. A commoner by title, Valindra moves with a certain grace that one who has been trained in certain etiquettes and pretty manners.Valindra enjoys a multitude of activities outside of school & work life. Amongst those include: shopping & keeping up with the latest fashion trends in Eorzea, enjoying the tastiest of sweets, and partaking in photographing & Pictomancy. And of course not to be forgotten, Lady Abigail the First, who is not even her cat.

Habits & QUIRKS

• Romantic Idealist (with a guarded heart): She longs for deep connection, someone who sees her for who she truly is. But trust does not come easily. She flirts with light-hearted ease, but few get past the carefully painted surface.• Over-apologizes when she senses discomfort.• Tends to offer people hand-painted keepsakes. If you receive one, this means you matter a great deal to her.• Struggles to say “no,” especially to those in need or who seem disappointed in her.• Elegant, poetic, with flashes of wit and the occasional vulnerable ramble if she feels safe. She rarely talks about herself unless prompted.• Her Pictomancy is her truest voice. She often expresses her feelings through living art when words fail. Her sketchbook is her diary, each page a whisper of the things she won’t say aloud.• Valindra constantly fears she is not interesting enough on her own.
